A true salsero
I’m the son of a Puerto Rican musician, who taught me from an early age not only to hear salsa, but also to feel and respect it. I’m a “salsero” by birth, and this allows me to offer my students another dimension of salsa. This music is not just for dancing: you have to feel it, live it.
This is how I approach my courses. Students begin by learning the rhythmic basis of salsa, “la clave”, which will enable them to dance more deeply into the music and not just count steps. In fact, in my courses I also emphasize knowledge of the different orchestras in Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries.
